Right Angle Prisms
UV Fused Silica · H-K9L (N-BK7 equiv.)
Right angle prisms deflect a beam by 90° or retroreflect it 180° via total internal reflection (TIR). In TIR mode, no reflective coating is needed on the hypotenuse, giving very high throughput without metallic coating losses. UV fused silica versions are suitable for UV laser systems.

Coating Options
- Uncoated (TIR mode) — Hypotenuse used for total internal reflection; no coating needed; incident AOI must exceed critical angle (~43° for fused silica)
- AR on entrance / exit faces — Reduces Fresnel loss to R < 0.5% per surface; recommended when throughput is critical
- Enhanced Al or Ag on hypotenuse — For mirror-mode applications (beam steering at AOI below TIR threshold)
- HR dielectric on hypotenuse — R > 99.5% at design wavelength; recommended for high-power laser steering
