Plano-convex lenses focus or collimate light with a single convex surface and a flat surface. UV fused silica versions are the standard choice for UV and near-IR laser applications, offering low absorption and high laser damage threshold. Plano-Concave Lenses

Plano-concave lenses diverge a collimated beam using a concave surface on one side and a flat surface on the other. Commonly used as the negative element in Galilean beam expanders, for increasing system focal length, or for generating divergent beams in laser setups.
